This lovely deck by Maestro Menegazzi is a touching tribute
to the great legacy & art of Katsushika Hokusai (1760 – 1849),
a Japanese artist, printmaker from the Edo period.
Hokusai is best known for his woodblock print series 'Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji'
which included the internationally iconic print, the 'Great Wave off Kanagawa',
created during the 1820s and honored in Osvaldo's new deck as the o-Fool card
(for reasons revealed in the enclosed leaflet written by Cristina Dorsini of il Meneghello).
Osvaldo Menegazzi has always had a soft spot in his heart for the mysterious,
alluring realms of Asia, most notably Japan.
These colorful cards tantalize the spirit and honor a beloved artist from across the seas,
while sharing fresh nuances of traditional Tarot interpretations.
