This deck is based upon a Liguria-Piedmontese tarot deck printed from crude woodblocks in 1736.
Card titles and instruction booklet are in both Spanish and English.
it is used in fortune telling and meditation during the practice of ritual magic.
The Spanish Tarot is based on the Tarot Classico from 1736, however,
it closely follows the Marseille style of artwork and symbolism.
This deck features simple illustrations in a wood-cut design style.
The colors of this deck are very soft with a beige background and understated coloring.
There is a distinct floral theme throughout the deck that is prevalent in the pip cards.
The back of the deck is beige with a repeating gray flower print.
The pip cards are simple representations of the suits, espadas (swords), bastos (wands),
copas (cups) and oros (disks) and the court cards are illustrated.
The major arcana are labeled in both Spanish and English and the court cards are labeled in Spanish only.
The Spanish Tarot contains the standard 78 cards, 22 arcanos mayores y 56 arcanos menores.
